🔐 Knowing Your Dominican Login Credentials

All Dominican University faculty and staff are issued DU login credentials after completing onboarding paperwork with the Office of People and Culture (OPC). Staff are onboarded once their I-9 is completed. Faculty are onboarded based on the following schedule:

  • May 15 for the Fall semester start
  • October 15 for the Spring semester start
  • February 1 for the Summer semester start

Once processed, you will receive an email at your personal address on file. This email will include:

These credentials grant access to all DU systems that use Single Sign-On (SSO), such as Canvas, email, myDU, etc.

❗ Note: Some systems like Paycor do not use SSO and require separate login credentials.

  • If you’ve received your credentials but need help resetting your password, click here.

🔒 Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA is required for all faculty, staff, and students. It adds a second layer of security by requiring a code from an authentication app, which is protected by Face ID or your phone’s passcode. This extra step makes it much harder for unauthorized users to get into your account, keeping your information safer.

Key Points:

  • MFA is only required off-campus or when not connected to DU Wireless or DU Owned (Dominican WiFi).
  • MFA is device-specific. Before switching phones, remove the MFA connection from your old device.
  • For setup instructions or to modify your MFA connection, click here.

🪪 Getting Your Star Card

Your Star Card is your official DU ID. It provides:

  • Building access
  • Payment capabilities at the Cyber Café and the Dining Hall
  • Identification as DU personnel

To get your Star Card:

Visit the Support Center (Lewis Hall, Room 048) during open hours with a valid photo ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license). General building access is granted automatically. For restricted areas, contact Campus Safety.
