To reset a Dominican Network account password, visit Password Manager and click Forgot-Reset my Password.
Step 1: Input your Dominican Network Username or email address.Then verify you are not a robot by completing the CAPTCHA Security Verification.
Step 2: Select a contact method for verification.
Option 1: Email or phone as your form of contact for the verification process.
Option 2: Send a notification to the Microsoft Authenticator app on the user's mobile device
Option 3: Enter a code from the Microsoft Authenticator app
Step 3: Enter the verification code sent to you.
- If you chose option 1, an email will be sent by Dominican automatically to either the external email or the phone number that is linked with the Dominican account.
- If you chose option 2, a 2-digit number will appear on screen. Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the number you see when prompted.
- If you chose option 3, navigate to the Dominican University authenticator entry in the Authenticator app on your mobile device. Enter the six digit one-time password code shown.
Step 4: Type in your new password. Passwords must follow the below requirements:
- Must be at least 16 characters;
- Must not be a single dictionary word (ex. Advantageousness)
- Must not contain your DU Net ID; and
- Must not be a password you have used within the last 10 password changes.
