Computers eligible for replacement must be a primary device and 5 or more years old. To submit a computer replacement request, you need to provide your computer’s name. Below are instructions on how to find your computer’s name on a PC and a MAC before submitting your request.
PC
To find your computer’s name on a PC:
- Click the Start button
- In the search box, type pc name
- Click view your PC Name
- Under Device Specifications you will find the computer name listed as the device name. The device name will be six numbers follow by a -w. Example 354988-w
MAC
To find your computer’s name on a MAC:
- Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner
- Click on System Preferences
- Click on the Sharing icon
- The computer name will appear at the top of the window that opens in the computer name field. The device name will be six numbers follow by a -M. Example 354988-M
Requests will be reviewed and verified for a replacement approval. If you are eligible for a replacement, you will receive instructions on how to schedule an appointment for a computer replacement and any preparation that needs to be completed.
