Request Network Port Activation

DESCRIPTION

Wired connections in the residence halls are disabled by default. If you wish to enable a wired port, the network port activation request form must be completed. Enabled ports will remain active for one academic semester. All connected devices must conform to IT policy and may be restricted at any time. Personal wireless routers or access points are not allowed.

PRICING

There is currently no charge to use this service, unless detailed in optional services. These costs may be associated to a departmental account.

ELIGIBILITY

The following communities are eligible to request this service:

  • Part- and Full-Time Faculty
  • Part- and Full-Time Staff
AVAILABILITY

Network port activation is avialable during normal working hours. 

Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 7:00pm

Friday 7:45am - 5:00pm

Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm

Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm

For any request falling outside of these parameters, equipment can be checked out.

SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA)

The target delivery time for Network Port Activation is within five (5) business days after all information has been submitted online and approved by the direct supervisor and Information Technology
