Resetting Account Passwords

Overview 

  • A Help Ticket is submitted because an applicant has forgotten their Slate Password or is having other issues logging into their account. 

Process 

  • Forgotten Password 

  • Go to the Profile Tab  

  • Click on Account 

  • Click on Reset 

  • Redirect to Portal 

  • Application Status Portal 

  • Issues logging in with Password 

  • Check to make sure the Birth Date is correct, ½ the time that is an issue 

  • Correct Birth Date if necessary 

  • Applicant does not have access to the Email they used when signing up for an Account 

  • Go to the Profile Tab 

  • Click Contact/Address 

  • Inactivate existing email address by clicking on the email address under Type 

  • Click on arrow on right hand box on Type 

  • Click Inactive 

  • Click Save 

  • Click New Device under Type 

  • Click on arrow on left hand box on Type and chose Email 

  • Under Value type the new email address 

  • Click Save 

  • Click on Account 

  • Click on Reset 

  • Click on Redirect to Portal 

  • Click on Application Status Portal 

  • Click Reset
