Charging Stations Information

The Department of Information Technology has installed two charging stations (located in Crown Library Lower Level floor and The Underground) in the event your electronic device needs to be charged. Each charging station offers 15 locking bays in which your personal device(s) such as laptops, tablets, or cell phones can be held for charging (you will need the power cord for your device). Below are directions for proper use of the stations to ensure charging of the device and instructions to secure each charging bay while in use. The directions are as follows:

  • On the Control Panel select the number of the available charging bay.
  • Place your device in the bay and plug your device into the power outlet.
  • Choose YOUR combination of four (4) numbers. This will be YOUR combination which you will need to remember.
  • Make sure the door is fully closed and locked.
  • When ready to retrieve your items, select your bay number and use YOUR combination of four (4) numbers to open the bay.

*There is inherent risk with use of the charging station for personal electronic devices. This includes potential damaged and/or stolen personal property for which Dominican University will not be held liabable. Please note, precautions are taken to help prevent such potential risks.*

If you forget your 4 digit combination and are unable to retrieve your charging device, please submit a Support Case to supportcenter@dom.edu, including which charging station, the bay number, and a description of your device. Any equipment/devices from a forgotten combination request will be treated as lost and held with the Campus Safety Office. To retrieve your lost device from the Campus Safety Office, you must provide a photo ID, proof of the Support Case submission, and evidence you are able to unlock your described lost device.
