While you are not able to add students because Canvas is integrated with Jenzabar/myDU, you are able to add a TA or a Designer. TAs have full grade access; Designers do not.
Click on the People menu link on the left, and then click the +People button. On the ensuing dialog box, simply enter in the email address for the person you wish to add to your class. The Role drop-down menu at the bottom is important! Here are the main roles:
- TA; virtually the same access to the course as you have, including student grades
- Designer; ability to add/edit material to the course, but without access to student grades.
- Librarian; similar to designer and given to Rebecca Crown Library librarians to add pertinent material to your course.
- Observer; strictly viewing rights.
- Peer Observer; similar to Observer, given to a faculty colleague to view a course but without any editing ability or any ability to import material into their own class.
