How do I add Announcements to my Home Page in Canvas?

You can add anywhere from one to fifteen of your most recent announcements in Canvas from the past two weeks by enabling a specific option in your course Settings.

• First, head to Settings in your course site. (The very last menu item.)  
• From there, be sure you are in the Course Details area, and scroll all the way down until you see a link called More Options. Click on that More Options link.
• After clicking that link, the very first checkbox allows you to enable the ability for your recent Announcements to be placed at the top of your Home Page.  Just underneath is a drop-down menu where you can specify how many to display.  The default is 3.  (Again, "recent" means the past two weeks.) 
• Be sure you click the Update Course Details button at the bottom of the screen when finished. 
• The next time you see whatever type of page you have set as your Home page, announcements will be at the top of that page, where students can click upon the announcement to read the text.  Longer announcements will end with a link to the full announcement.
