The Student View is vital for instructors to check in order to see what your students can see (and not see) in your Canvas course site, even before it is published.
There are two ways to access to the Student View:
- From the Home menu item, click STUDENT VIEW at the far right.
- Also, you can head to the Settings menu item at the bottom of your course menu and on the ensuing screen you will find a STUDENT VIEW button at the upper-right.
In Student View, you will see the class exactly as a student will. You can even submit papers in this view for published assignments. Additionally, the Student View will generate a Test Student in your Grades area.
To exit student view, click the Leave Student View button that will be in the lower-right corner of your screen.
