Why Is the Class I’m Teaching Not Appearing Under in Canvas?

The availability of courses on your Canvas Dashboard typically varies depending on the time of year. By default, Canvas displays courses for the current term on the Dashboard upon login. If your course does not appear there, please click the Courses link in the global navigation menu on the left, then select All Courses. This will take you to a page listing your current courses, past enrollments, and future enrollments.

Your course is likely listed under Future Enrollments. While you can access the course directly by clicking its link, we recommend first clicking the star icon to the left of the course name. When the star turns yellow, the course will be added to your Dashboard, making it easier to access on subsequent logins.

If you still cannot locate your course after checking All Courses, please verify that you are listed as the instructor of record in myDU. If you are, kindly submit a ticket to the IT Support Center so we can investigate why you have not been added to your Canvas site. If you are not listed as the instructor, please contact your department chair or dean to ensure your information has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.
