The Co-Working Space is located in the former Office of Marketing and Communications on the north edge of campus. While this space is open to all Dominican University (DU) employees, it is primarily designed for:
- Remote employees or adjunct faculty who need a workspace while on campus.
- On-campus employees whose usual work location is temporarily unavailable.
Each workstation is equipped with network access, but you will need to bring your DU laptop or personal device. Key card access is required at all times.
For details on reserving a desk or office, visit the Co-Working Space Reservation Instructions on the OPC website. Reservations must be completed at least 24 hours in advance via Astra.
IT Guidelines
Network Connection
- If the station has a network cable, plug it in for a wired connection.
- If no cable is available, connect to:
- DUOwned Wireless (for DU-owned devices)
- DU Wireless (for personal devices)
- Do NOT use Guest Wireless, as it provides limited service.
Printing
- To print, select "DU Printing" from your device.
- Go to the printer in the Studio space, swipe your ID, or enter your credentials to release your job.
- If using a personal device, submit a web print job via print.dom.edu.
Using a Mac
- Workstations are flexible, but Mac users must bring their own adapters/dongles (e.g., HDMI adapters for external monitors).
