Projector and Camera Controls

Power on the monitor and computer if already not on.

NOTE: The monitor is touch screen and could be useful when using the whiteboard feature in Zoom and/or the Draw feature in the Microsoft applications.

The  computer and lavalier microphone are located under the keyboard.

Two different microphone options are available. You can either use the lavalier microphone or the handheld​​​​​​ microphone on the desk. 

NOTE: You can only use one at a time. Make sure the microphone you are NOT using is turned OFF. 

To power on the system please press the Dominican Logo.

Select a room mode. Presentation mode will show all of the source options and sound controls. Video Conference mode displays everything in Presentation mode but includes the camera controls.

To project please select the source. If you are using the PC in the room, then press the PC button. If you are using an external laptop, then press the laptop button. Connect your external device using the HDMI cord on the desk. If you would like to the wireless connection, then please select the Wireless button and review the ShareLink Pro instructions.

NOTE: If you decide to use the wireless option, then you will not have audio. ONLY VIDEO. 

To adjust the volume please utilize the volume setting on the computer before adjusting the volume setting on the system. You can also turn on and off the projector by utilizing the projector controls. To move the projector screen, press the Screen Control Button. 

A camera for Zoom capabilities is located in the back of the classroom.

To manage the camera settings please select the Camera Control button. As mentioned earlier this button will not be present unless the Video Conference mode was selected. If not selected already, then select the Room Mode button and you will be given the option to reselect. Three different camera presets modes are available:

  • Preset 1
    • Camera will focus in on the presenter at the desktop
  • Preset 2
    • Camera will focus in on the presenter at the desktop and show the white board
  • Preset 3
    • Camera will focus in on the white board on the right side of the room

If you need to adjust the camera at anytime, then please utilize the manual camera controls on the left hand side of the screen. The Home button will redirect the camera to center itself

Zoom Instructions

SSO (Single Sign-On) will automatically sign you into the application.

  1. Start a “New Meeting”
  2. “Join” a pre-existing meeting
  3. Select the “Join” button under the Calendar if your meeting is available.

 

Once you are done using the room, please turn off the system and make sure to log out of the computer.
