Appointment Scheduling
This article provides guidance on how Dominican University employees can schedule appointments using approved tools based on their role.
Staff and Full-Time Faculty
Staff and full-time faculty should use Microsoft Bookings to manage appointments. Bookings is included with your Microsoft 365 license and integrates directly with Outlook, allowing you to:
- Manage availability within your work calendar
- Automatically send meeting confirmations and reminders
- Keep all scheduling within the university-supported environment
Using Bookings ensures a streamlined and fully supported scheduling experience.
Adjunct Faculty
Adjunct faculty do not have access to Microsoft Bookings. As an alternative, you can use Calendly, a free scheduling tool that integrates with your Dominican University email and Outlook calendar. Calendly allows you to:
- Share your availability via a personalized link
- Automatically schedule meetings based on your availability
- Sync appointments with your calendar
While Calendly is not institutionally supported, it is a reliable option for managing appointments.
Click your Role and you will be directed to the proper tool's instructions
