Current students, full-time faculty, and staff are eligible to download Office 365 for their Windows PC or Mac free from the University. That’s right, FREE! Here’s how!
NOTE: Adjunct faculty have an A3 license. An A3 license contains the same features offered to full-time faculty and staff with one exception: the ability to download free versions of desktop applications (ex: Word, Excel). These tools are still available to this group, through the browser, when logged into email. Adjunct faculty can request an upgraded license via this form.
1. Log in to your Dominican Email at http://mail.dom.edu
Note: Downloading and installing can take over an hour. Please make sure that you have time to finish the installation, that you are using the computer you would like Office to install onto, and that your device is connected to an outlet.
2. Once your Inbox loads, click on the dot square icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Click on "Microsoft 365"
4. Click on "Install apps" -> "Microsoft 365 apps" to download the Office 365 installer.
5. Find and open the Office 365 installer in your recent downloads. Note that running the installer to completion requires administrative privileges.
