Before continuing, please ensure you have read the How to Prepare for the Windows 11 Upgrade article.
Once your files are backed up and synced, you’re ready to upgrade your device to Windows 11. Follow these steps carefully to complete the upgrade.
If you are off campus, before you begin the upgrade you will need to:

Connect to Dominican’s VPN (instructions [here])

Plug your device directly into power

Use a wired internet connection for best results
Launch Software Center

Open the Start Menu and search for Software Center.

In Software Center, go to the Operating Systems tab.

You should now see the Windows 11 Upgrade.

If you don’t see the upgrade listed, please review issue number one in the What to Do If Something Goes Wrong During the Windows 11 Upgrade article.
Start the Upgrade

Click on the Windows 11 Upgrade listing.

Select Install.

The installation will begin and may take around 1 hour. Your PC will restart several times as this is normal. Once the upgrade is complete, your computer will boot into Windows 11 and you're all set.
