Body
Previously, spam email was held in quarantine with a summary of the filtered messages sent to faculty and staff in a daily digest. Now with Exchange Online Protection, filtered spam messages are sent directly to your "Junk E-mail" folder. The daily digest was discontinued as it is a global setting across all users including faculty, staff, and students. By directing all spam email to the “Junk E-mail” folder, any legitimate emails incorrectly flagged as junk, can be immediately accessed instead of waiting until a randomly timed digest email is received. This also alleviates the need to receive daily emails consuming additional inbox and storage space. Please check the messages within your "Junk E-Mail" folder at any time you did not receive an important email as expected. Items in the "Junk E-mail" folder will be held for 30 days before automatic removal.
