IS NOW HERE!
Starting February 15th, Dominican University will switch to using Zoom, one of the fastest growing and most reliable web conferencing services available!
Get Your Free Zoom Pro Account
- Navigate to https://dom.zoom.us.
- Sign in using your existing Dominican email address and password.
- Your Zoom Pro account will be immediately created and ready to use!
Host Zoom Meetings from Your Computer
- Download and install the Zoom Meeting Client software from https://dom.zoom.us/download. The system will also prompt you to download if you join a meeting without the software.
- Use the Schedule feature in Zoom to create and send invitations that include all the information your guests need to join your meeting (including phone numbers and web links).
- For additional convenience, you can schedule meetings directly from your Outlook Calendar by installing the Zoom Scheduler Add-In for O365. The scheduler will then be available both on the web as well as in your Outlook Desktop. Click here for instructions.
- The Support Center can order USB webcams or headsets if needed. Costs will be charged back to your department; please provide an account number and manager approval with your order.
Join Zoom Meetings from Lifesize Conference Systems
***After February 15, current dialing instructions for all meetings using Lifesize Cloud will no longer work. Be sure to update any previously scheduled meetings to use Zoom, instead**
- Lifesize conference systems can dial in to Zoom meetings for video, audio, and content sharing.
- Each Zoom meeting invitation contains the server address and meeting number to be dialed.
- Zoom meeting information is not tied to any physical conference room or device. There’s no need to send last-minute updates to remote participants if your meeting room changes!
- The steps for making phone calls (directly dialing telephone numbers) remain the same.
