Setting Up J-One Remote Desktop

Body

  1. Log in to your computer with your network credentials 
  2. Click the Windows Icon, and type:  “Control Panel”.  Run the app. 
  3. In Control Panel, look for: RemoteApp and Desktop Connections – Single click to start the job:  

  1. Find and select the option to: Access RemoteApp and desktops.  You can single click the option to start: 

  1. In the ‘Email address or connection URL:’ field, copy and paste the following (or type it in carefully): https://jenzremote.dom.edu/rdweb/feed/webfeed.aspx  

You should now see this: 

  1. Click the ‘Next’ button when complete.

You should see the following:   

  1. You may see the following form: 

If so, make sure to include ‘DOM\’ at the start of your user name, and check the ‘Remember me’ box.  

Click the ‘OK’ button. 

  1. You should receive an interim message that says that resources are being added – it may take a few minutes to complete. Ultimately, you should receive this message:  

Click the ‘Finish’ button. 

  1. The remote desktop apps have now been installed on your system. You should now be able to click on the Windows icon, and look for a header called: Dominican University RemoteApps. If you single click the link, you will see all of the remote J One jobs listed for your use. You can then pin them to your desktop or to your start menu. To pin them to your Start Menu, RIGHT CLICK the icon (such as Jenzabar One 2021 Desktop), and select the ‘Pin to Start’ option. The icon will now appear in your Start menu for future use. You can download and create a grouping in your start menu for ease of use:
