When will accounts be deactivated?  

Dominican login accounts are deactivated at the following times: 

Students: Six months after graduation date or after taking your last registered class 

Faculty: Last day of employment or after three months  

Staff: Last day of employment 

When will your notifications be sent out? 

Accounts scheduled to be deactivated will be sent an initial email before deactivation date and 2nd communication on the date an account is disabled. 

Can an account be kept active? 

Students: Register for a class before your deactivation date 

Faculty/Staff: Arrangements must be made with Human Resources 

Can I get a Guest login to use library resources?  

Yes, visit to Welcome & Information Desk in the Lower Level of the Library and request an account. You will need a personal email address and a valid photo ID like a Driver's License, State ID or Passport.  

What if I return to school/employment after my account has been deactivated? 

If you return to employment or as a student after your account has been deactivated, your original account will be reactivated, but any files or emails associated to it will be gone. 

Resources for Deactivated Users 

Dominican Email 

Once an account is deactivated, you will no longer have access to your Dominican email, contacts, or calendar. Any emails, contacts or Calendars will need to be extracted. Instructions for extracting can be found here. Dominican emails will no longer forward to a personal email address after deactivation. 

OneDrive 

OneDrive accounts are attached to your Dominican login and will also not be available after being deactivated. Any files you would like to keep must be exported. Instructions for exporting files can be found here.  

Canvas 

Canvas will also be impacted by your Dominican login being deactivated. Any assignments that you might want to keep from open courses, can be extracted them from canvas. Instructions on how to export from Canvas can be found here.  

MyDU/Unofficial Transcripts 

Access to MyDU will also be impacted. This will be your last chance to download a copy of your unofficial transcript.  Instructions on how to download an unofficial transcript can be found here.
